Brad played goalie as Alex and Dominic (one of Brad's college roomates) took turns taking shots at the baby pool. Modified soccer? During Dominic's visit, Alex kept calling him "Dominicks", like our grocery store. It was hilarious!
We had a cookout Saturday night with the neighbors and want everyone to know that Josh is a closet Buckeye fan! His parents however are staunch Illinois fans. Wonder what they think about him wrapping himself up in all this Buckeye goodness?
Alex and I have been doing little activities each day to try and keep his mind ready for Kindergarten. Here he is sorting and counting M&Ms into this muffin tin. Then he wrote the name of the color and how many he counted inside his handy-dandy notebook :) This took us 2 days to complete as I bought a bag of M&Ms that was WAY too big!
Over the weekend, Brad surrounded the tree on the front lawn with pavers, similar to the ones in front of the house. We were tired of all the mulch constantly sliding down the hill and hope this helps!
After 5 years of exploring the truck and train aisles at Target, Abby and I ventured down a new aisle yesterday...the Barbie aisle :) Now she has a doll to take in the pool on vacation!
Alex finally branched out at the library and chose a few non-fiction books other than trains, planes, and automobiles! This week he's moved on to droughts, earthquakes, and rocks.
Watching the neighbors set off their own displays. We were outside for hours. I don't remember doing this in TX but here we sit in our driveways on the 3rd and 4th and everywhere you look there are fireworks!
